What this plugin is
The REFCOMM plugin is a public, read-only connection for an AI assistant such as Cursor or Grok Bot. It can search open roles, show one role, and return a signup link for a Job Seeker or an Employer. It does not sign anyone in. It does not create a Talent Card, a role, or a referral. The person finishes that on refcomm.ai.
What the assistant can send us
Search words, a city, a function, a seniority label, and a role id. For an employer draft: a title, a city, a description, and an intended rupee reward. Those fields are the words the person asked the assistant to pass on. Phase 1 does not ask for a name, email, phone number, resume, Talent Card, or Referrer identity.
What we return
Public fields from roles an employer has already published: title, company name, city, work mode, seniority, department, skills, and the description they wrote. We say whether a referral reward is set. We do not return the rupee amount. We do not return Job Seekers, Referrers, emails, resumes, interview material, fees, or payment records.
Employer-written role text is data about a job. It can appear inside the assistant's conversation because that is how the person asked to see the role. REFCOMM does not control the assistant vendor's retention of that conversation.
Signup links
Links include UTM tags and refcomm_source=plugin so REFCOMM can measure how many plugin visits reach signup. An employer draft is kept in an HttpOnly cookie in that browser for six hours so the role form can be prefilled. The cookie is not a login. Publishing still requires an employer account and an explicit confirmation on REFCOMM.
Rate limiting and storage
The plugin limits how often one network address can call it. Phase 1 keeps that counter in memory on the server handling the request. It is not written to the REFCOMM database. Role text that is already published stays in the REFCOMM database under the existing product privacy notice.
What this plugin will not do in phase 1
It will not list people. It will not reveal who can refer. It will not submit a referral. It will not charge a Job Seeker. A later phase may let a signed-in professional ask a named Referrer for an introduction. That phase needs its own review before it is turned on.
